Breckenridge’s 69,000 square foot Recreation Center located on Airport road was first built in 1991 and added onto in 1996. You will find 2 indoor tennis courts, 1 racquet ball/wallyball court, 2 climbing walls, gym, free weight room, circuit weight area, cardiovascular equipment area, indoor track, aerobic/dance studio, cycling/fitness studio, child care room, community room with kitchen, swimming pool, leisure pool with a slide, steam room, indoor & outdoor hot tubs, sauna, pro shop, vending area, locker rooms for men, women and families. Outside facilities include 8 outdoor tennis courts (4 composite surface & 4 clay), outdoor basketball court, skate park, 2 lighted softball fields, soccer/rugby fields, kayak park, playground, and bike path which runs county wide.
A 37,000 square foot Ice Rink located on Boreas Pass road with both a regulation size outdoor and indoor rink. The outdoor rink was built first in 1996 then the indoor rink was built in 2000, which is open year round. The facility includes rentals, a proshop, locker rooms, bleacher seating for 475 and a concession stand.
The Gold Run Nordic Center located at the Breckenridge Golf Course in the winter months has over 22 kilometers of groomed trails for classic and skate skiing, 12 kilometers of snow shoe track, lodge, Rossignol demo center, rentals, lessons, pro shop, indoor waxing room, horse drawn dinner sleigh rides all in a beautiful mountain setting.

The Breckenridge Golf course opened in 1985 with 18 holes designed by Jack Nicklaus; in 2001 another 9 holes were opened also designed by Jack Nicklaus. The mountain valley setting is beautiful with views of the Ten Mile Range and the Continental Divide. The clubhouse sits at 9,324 feet above sea level.
The Riverwalk Center was built in 1992 featuring a seasonal tent along with the Blue River restoration project in the middle of town. This structure is host to many concerts and events. You can hear two excellent orchestras; the National Repertory Orchestra and the Breckenridge Music Institute all summer long. In the winter you’ll find the International Snow Sculpture Championships. This last year 2007 the tent was taken down for the last time and a permanent structure is replacing it.
The Breckenridge Theater on South Ridge Street has been presenting award-winning theater since 1974.
The Arts District of Breckenridge began in 2001 located on Washington Street. You will find the Tin Shop with artists presenting their work.
