2008 International Snow Sculpture Championships in Breckenridge

Each team starts with a huge block of snow and sculpts it into a work of art. Past sculptures were absolutely amazing and each New Year brings something new to the competition. The contest is usually towards the end of January and sometimes into the beginning of February. You’ll find these very large snow sculptures right in downtown Breckenridge all around the Riverwalk center. The 2008 Budweiser International Snow Sculpture Championships hosted 16 teams from 9 countries. In the year 2009 the International Snow Sculpture Championships in Breckenridge will mark the 19th year . The Championships are scheduled to be from January 20-25, 2009.
