Breckenridge
The Breckenridge Riverwalk Center has changed!
By The Stu Crew

You can hear The Breckenridge Music Festival Orchestra practicing all summer long with concerts in the evening. The Breckenridge Music Festival (BMF) began in 1981 bringing music appreciation and education to the community. With substantial support from The Summit Foundation the program has continually put on a ten-week summer music festival presenting both classical and contemporary concerts.

In the winter BMF produces a concert series featuring nationally known artists like The Vienna Choir Boys, U.S. Army Field Band & Soldiers’ Chorus and The Colorado Children’s Chorale.

The National Repertory Orchestra (NRO) is a nonprofit organization that provides an eight week fellowship program for exceptional young musicians. Each summer 89 musicians are chosen in a nationwide audition tour to come to Breckenridge and participate in an intense symphonic orchestral experience. This group performs two full concerts each week from mid-June to early-August. They also perform in smaller chamber concerts and at several other locations in the state. You’ll be impressed with the full range of symphonic literature they perform! Visit their website at: http://www.nromusic.com/
